Chapter Seven

Matthew lay there watching Sam sleep, a thousand emotions battling inside his head. He still couldn’t believe that he’d claimed Sam. It felt too dreamlike, as if he’d wake up at any second to find himself back in Brac Village, mateless.

Maddox lay on the opposite side of Sam, snoring. They were as close as twins could be, but when Matthew had first discovered that he had to share Sam, he had struggled with the reality of the situation. He’d thought last night that he would have a hard time seeing Maddox touch Sam, but when he’d come into the kitchen to discover his brother trying to take Sam on the table, Matthew had found the scene hot as hell.

Matthew stroked his finger over Sam’s lips. He couldn’t help himself. He needed to touch. The bond was like nothing he’d ever experienced before, and Matthew knew that if anyone did anything to Sam he’d kill the dumb bastard. His protective instincts were in full force.

He’d grown up around mated couples and had seen how they acted together. Matthew had envied the love his dads shared. Murdock acted as if the sun rose and set for Heaven. All the men in the house acted that way. Even Ruttford and Adam treated Melonee as if she was the princess of their entire world.

Matthew had always craved something like that. He even knew men in Zeus’s pack who were mated to two men. It seemed the norm for the Eastern pack. Matthew just never thought it would happen to him and Maddox.

The only logical explanation he could come up with for a ménage mating was that he and Maddox was part gray wolf. Heaven had been born and raised in the Eastern pack.

Sam’s eyelids slowly opened as he yawned. He stretched and then blinked up at Matthew. “Are you watching me sleep?”

Matthew kissed Sam on his nose. “Yes.”

“Weirdo,” Sam said with a smile, and then he blushed.

Matthew grinned. “At least I’m not fondling you while you sleep.”

“And he would,” Maddox said as he turned over and threw an arm over Sam’s side. “Man’s a deeply disturbed pervert.”

Sam snickered, and Matthew found his mate simply adorable. His brownish-blond hair was sticking up in every direction, and he had a glow to him that only came from satisfying sex. “How do you feel this morning?”

“Hungry and sore,” Sam admitted.

Maddox patted one of Sam’s cheeks. “So no morning nookie?”

“Not on your life,” Sam said as he wiggled from between the two.

“Where you going?” Matthew trapped Sam over his chest and pulled the man down.

“Bathroom,” Sam said, pushing from Matthew’s chest. “Nature calls.”

Matthew watched as Sam walked naked to the bathroom, his gaze fixated on the man’s nicely rounded ass. He knew Sam would be sore, but damn if he didn’t want another round like they’d had last night.

“Can’t believe I’m sleeping in the same bed as you,” Maddox said, stretching his arms over his head. “Feels like I’m five years old again.”

Matthew shrugged. “You can go sleep in your own bed.
